Tami Howard Carr is an award-winning local broadcast news journalist.
After more than 25 years in the media, seeing her share of destruction, despair and physical and emotional trauma in viewers, she is honored to join a movement that uniquely combines boxing, yoga and counseling to help a woman overcome and emerge from trauma.
Tami is a three-time Emmy award winner and received the Edward R. Murrow award for her work in local news.
She is a wife, and proud mother of a 10-year-old son. Most weekends you’ll find her at the youth baseball fields. Her two dogs are mostly-grumpy 12-year-old Baxter and Lieutenant Dan, a sweet (but a little silly) three-legged pup.
