Sharon is a certified family life educator (CFLE) and LMFT-A who has worked in the social science, education and non-profit sector for over 10 years. She specializes in working with children and families in crisis who are dealing with grief, trauma and anxiety. Sharon grew up in Florida but moved to the DFW area to further her education. Sharon has a heart for learning, helping and serving others dating back to engaging in service projects as a young Girl Scout. She has also worked as an adjunct professor for local universities in Texas, teaching courses in family science, special education and social studies. In addition, Sharon is an alumnus of Florida A&M University. Her educational background includes a doctoral degree in Family Science from Texas Woman’s University.
Sharon continues to remain involved in community service projects by volunteering with local and international organizations. Some of the organizations she has worked and volunteered with include Denton County Friends of the Family, Homeless Coalition, Texas Council on Family Violence, National Council on Family Relations, Dallas Life, Samaritan Inn and Sowing Seedsof Joy.
